Easter

Spring break was a bi-polar weather week. The first two days were warm enough to warrant a park day.The kids had fun at this local place full of fun native American tee-pee tents to play drums in, an area to use water wheels, color with chalk on the ground and a really fun place to just get dirty & make sandy mud ... the kids loved it. Jax was just incredibly happy to be in the sunshine again, and not be wrapped up like an Eskimo. The rest of the week it snowed & was really, really windy. They all got antsy after having a taste of the good life & outdoors again.
We went to the local library ... which I am NOT impressed with. It's fancy. It has amazing ways to check your books in (complete with a self-scanner & conveyor belt), and a really fun play center for the kids to play on. But, they charge you $2 for a 3 day check out of a library movie??? Seriously??? They can keep the fancy crap & give me back my free movie rentals ... ugh. But, the kids were excited for the books we got them. Hunter read several books in a new series he likes, Geronimo Stilton. Another fun thing for Easter was Jax figured out how to use a straw ... for a moment ... and then never again. LOL. But, it was really cute to see his face when he got the drink to come thru! We also got to see the Easter Bunny at Ryan's work. Notice the "Easter chick"? Yeah, he has hairier legs than my husband ... and I hate it when a male Easter chick has better lookin' legs than I do ... lol. They were awesome though, wearing tights in 10 degrees & sharing candy with the kids! Easter morning was fun. I've been randomly shopping for things for the kids and my Mom sent a fun movie & bobble heads for them too. The candy was gone before we even realized what was happening, except for the rest of the day Jax would randomly find chocolate & come up to us drooling out chocolate ooze. Yeah, his stomach wasn't exactly happy come bedtime. But, he was happy the rest of the day. But after having all the kids home ... I realize I'm really excited for summer ... as long as they can play outside together & not be trapped indoors with me the whole time. :)
