Fall Feast

So Danielle, I'm sorry but I forgot to take pictures for you! This was halfway thru the clean-up ... does that help?? ;)Every year, on the first day of fall, we have a fall feast to celebrate, and try to ignore that it's always over 100 degrees outside. This year we had mashed yams, fried zucchini, potato/sausage soup (did NOT work out like I thought it would), rolls, corn pudding & some other things ... we also had our homemade sparkling apple juice. We invited our cute friends the Bodily's over to celebrate with us. The food was a big, fat bomb with the kids (it always is) and five+ hours of cooking went down the drain, but one of these years the kids will like it, right??? LOL. Although, the pumpkin pie is always a HUGE hit. (Thanks to Costco!).

What a good idea to have a fall feast. I totally understand about the food being a bust with the kids. When they're older they will appreciate all the work and cooking that goes into that. Maybe they'll even help;) Here's to hoping!
