So last Saturday was FILLED with free things to do with the kids; 2 free kids crafts, free kids parade & games @ Toys R' Us and free museum passes. Of course we couldn't make it to it all though, we didn't have the energy (the kids probably did though). So we hit the stuff we could.
The free fire truck craft at Lowe's (complete with firemen showing up). Don't you LOVE the fake smiles for Daddy? LOL.
Then we grabbed some lunch and headed out to use the free museum passes. We had never ever been to the museum of natural history here in town. It started out cool, Colton was in heaven with the fish/shark tank.

And they had an awesome kid's section for them to explore things, next to the dinosaur exhibit (equally cool).
But it all went horribly wrong when we went to Africa.
What the???? Thankfully the sound effects button WASN'T working. Who thought that idea up? And in case you're missing the true beauty of this scene, here's another shot.
And you thought you were having a bad day! And just to complete that awesome scene, there was a room FILLED with dead, stuffed animals to admire on your way out ... so ... so ... something.
We tried to hit the free stuff at Toys R' Us too, but they changed the hours from the flier we had recieved, so that was a bust. But the thing that the kids are the most excited about is their Halloween costumes! Hunter & Colton will be Mario & Luigi with Savannah being Princess peach. Now I just need to make a mushroom person costume for Jax. :)

How do you find out about these free things? Sounds fun! The halloween costumes sounds fun too!
sounds like a super saturday :) it was good to see your little ones at music time today. familyfun.com has some great mushroom-like costumes that might help with jax's costume.
