Jax turned two!

I still can't believe it's already been two years since Jax was born ... the birth is still so fresh in my mind, but I definitely can't imagine our family without him here. There have been some big milestones in the past month for him, including going on the potty chair (for the first time, and with him telling me he wants to!), and moving into the toddler bed (THANKS LACIE FOR THE HOOK-UP!) in the "boys" room downstairs (he loves it). We spent his birthday weekend in Denver on Saturday which included another trip to the zoo (love it!) and a fun craft at Lakeshore Learning (while I did a temple session). Followed by a special and rare treat ... Panda Express (they don't have one in town). Sunday he didn't really understand why a birthday was such a big fuss ... but Ryan made sure to shout, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX!" every time he saw him and would pick him up and give him hugs and kisses (which Jax just LOVED). Then for dinner, I made four different kinds of pizza and Jax blew out his candles on a chocolate cake (his choice). The unwrapping presents was NOT as difficult to talk him into ...Everything was pre-bought in January/February (less than $20 for a $100 birthday ... yeah!) ... and the special gift was the Thomas Train set we found for 75% off in January. He loved it so much I put it in the cart, and he held on tight ... and was a screaming ball of fits when we checked out and he had to let go (and the fact that he didn't get it back had him screaming the whole way home too). It reminded me of a story my Dad tells of me with a toy at about the same age ... lol. And to say he loved it is the mild understatement of the year ... Happy Birthday Jax, hope you know how much we love you!!!
